Kelly headed up the IHG EMEA account for 6 years, overseeing the Holiday Inn UK launch, from rebranding 100+ hotels, a national sales promotion to boost room nights to European roadshows implementing their new positioning.

  • Challenge: All too often hotel staff are the unsung heroes - we wanted to 'super-motivate' them by showing them as the highly dedicated people they really are.
  • Solution: We came up with Hallmark Heroes. A 12-month campaign portraying staff as real heroes. Every hotel received a 'Campaign-in-a-box' containing Hallmark Hero costume and posters featuring outstanding members of staff. They also had the chance to vote for their hotel's hero to star in up-and-coming posters.
  • Result: Kerpow! 132 nominations from 12 countries! Staff just couldn't wait to don their T-Shirts, underpants and masks to enter. With lucky winners from Poland to Greece, Belgium to Italy, Hallmark Heroes got everyone involved. Now a cornerstone of the brand Hallmark Heroes ensured successful delivery & ownership of in-hotel campaigns & won the IHG International Award for Best Marketing Campaign.
